One of the biggest questions we get asked is about locations. We have a ton in our back pockets and are always open to new places. In fact, there is this urban spot in Midtown I am dying to shoot at!
Here are a few of our tried and true places. I am from the east side which shows in my engagement session location choices here in northeast Ohio.
First, it’s a combo, Squire’s Castle, and my secret spot right up the road from Squire’s Castle. Squire’s is a castle, so it gives you that romantic feel, the downside is it can be very busy depending on the day and time of year. We head right up the road and there is this perfect field with gorgeous golden light with a hidden river!
Next is one of every photographer’s favorites, it’s Wade Lagoon or Wade Oval depending on who you ask. It’s awesome because you get a lot of options at one location. It’s located behind the Cleveland Art Museum
Also, anywhere downtown but specifically Ohio City and the Theatre District, especially as it gets darker, it’s perfect to end our engagement session in downtown Cleveland.
Cuyahoga Valley Nation park is also a total treasure for engagement sessions here in Ohio!
Also, we always encourage you to bring your pets!
There is the gorgeous Stan Hywett, it does cost money to photograph here, we would have to call to find out.
The next series is from a small park in Cuyahoga Falls called
We also visited the BGSU campus this summer
One of our absolute favorites is Mentor Headlands Beach. We head all the way to the end where there are fewer people (though it is a walk so wear proper shoes, or go barefoot!)
For that winter feel we can head to Sugar Pines Farm for a tree farm session.
Last summer we also ventured over to Presque Isle
There are so many incredible spots in Northeast Ohio for engagement sessions. We love Orchard Hills Park by Patterson’s, most of the Metroparks (as long as we have sky access), and downtown both Cleveland and Akron!
