A Downtown Cleveland Ohio Wedding on the West Bank.
Dunia and Elver are two of the kindest souls. We’ve spent time with them over the last year, photographing their engagement session, including their puppy Toby, and of course being an ear and a hand when they had to move things twice due to the pandemic. We learned that they love their families, and that dancing, Salsa in particular is one of their favorite pastimes. They are soft-spoken nurturers, who care deeply about those around them. We saw that in every moment of their wedding day.
It was a magical May day. A traditional Catholic mass in both English and Spanish, followed by photos behind the Cleveland Art Museum at Wade Lagoon, and on the West Bank of the flats at the bridges.
Headed back to the reception venue where a PARTY took place, however, we did sneak out for 10 minutes of golden hour photos, and let me tell you they did not disappoint! We always reccomend sneaking away for golden hour, it’s quick and MAGICAL!
Then back inside where we watched their friends and family dance for 40 minutes nonstop by following what the DJ was doing, I was exhausted watching them!
At the end of the night though, it was a moment. They had hired a band, while packing up, Elver grabbed the guitar, walked over the mic, and started serenading Dunia while Dunia’s Dad played nearby. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and the most magical way to end their celebration!
