Camping in Maine – Sandy Pines
2020 has been a busy year for us. Some ups and downs for sure.
I lost my Dad in February pretty unexpectedly to a car accident. It really changed my perspective, as cliche as it sounds, over how short life is. This quick segway is about making time.
We had to head to Maine to see family. My in-laws live there. I know, what a shame that they live in such a beautiful place.
Chauncey had asked if I would be interested in camping for a couple of days while we were there. Here is something you might need to know, I love camping, Chauncey is more of an indoor kid.
We did, we had almost no service and no electricity. We camped. We kayaked from the Salt Marsh in Kennebunk into the Ocean at Goose Rocks. It was exactly what we needed as a family.
Things we learned.
We love camping!
We were not quite prepared enough.
In the future, less food.
Be prepared to change plans.
Currently, I am obsessed with learning all I can about saltwater marshes.
Michael loved making tea over the campfire.
We all fit in that tent, and it was mostly pretty good.
We will absolutely be doing this again soon!
Love it! Camping is always good for the soul! Good to see your smiles!!
